ON COLORING | An Exhibition on Art History & Coloring  – February 6 – March 1

Curator, artist and author Catherine Haley Epstein has arranged a colorful exhibition of works by local and national artists.

February 6th – March 1st, Rolling River Spirits will display an exhibition of beautifully colored posters by 13 professional artists from throughout the US. The images are from her coloring book In a True Democracy the Many are Obligated to the Few, and are an homage to contemporary artists and thinkers. The exercise in coloring is an exercise in distilling art history and playing with the seriousness that is “Art”. There will also be a colorful mural of 22 soup can images inspired by Andy Warhol and executed by local third graders.

Proceeds from the sale of the works, and coloring books will go to arts in education programming.

Artists: Analisa Goodin (CA), Angela Voulgarelis (NY), Ann Ploeger (OR), Carla Repice (NY), Chris Leib (CA), Cynthia Mossier (OR), Luke Dolkas (OR), Meghan Hunt (MD), Diane Jacobs (OR), Paolo Salvagione (CA), Patrick Hinds (OR), MJ Dowling (CO), Tereza Swanda (MA), Dorothy Fox Elementary School 3rd Graders
